If you’ve been keeping up with the DDD Framework blogs, you know that we have spent the last four months discussing each step. We’ve talked about:

  • Step 1: Develop the Event Design and Theme

  • Step 2: Vendor Selection

  • Step 3: Establish a Cohesive Timeline

  • Step 4: Communicate with the Vendors

At last, we have reached the final step, Plan Execution. Whew!! It’s taken us a while to get here; and, that’s actually how it feels when planning an event. There’s been all of this preparation and finally it’s THE DAY.

This is the day when the vision mixed with due diligence culminates into a single, unforgettable experience. Since you’ve been working and communicating with your planner from the event concept, now you can relax and simply enjoy.

But please don’t underestimate the work that your planner will be doing. Your planner is going to be on his or her feet for about 15 hours overseeing every aspect of the event. (S)he will have the timeline in hand with every vendor’s contact information, be the first to arrive at the venue, answer phone calls and texts, jog (not walk) from one end of the venue to the other at least 100 times, double check people’s work, and move heaven and earth to make the dream happen.

It will be the planner’s experience and forethought that will stave off emergencies and mishaps without you being the wiser.

Most importantly, whatever the event might be, by diligently following the DDD Framework, success is on the horizon.
