Maintaining Wedding Traditions
In the inaugural Debra’s Details & Designs blog I talked about a bracelet shared among a group of five ladies that I was a part of. In that blog I explained the significance of the bracelet and stated, “We jointly purchased this pearl bracelet and made a pact to each wear it only on our wedding day. The last wearer of the bracelet was tasked with holding onto it until the first off-spring of “The Girls” married. At that time, she would pass it on and hopefully “the bracelet” would be shared among each of our families for a second generation.”
Today, my heart is overwhelming full as I continue the story. I’m so excited to state that the wedding tradition has officially continued. The first of “The Girls” offspring tied the knot this year and the bracelet was worn. YEAH!!!!!!!
Congratulations Joshua and Cara; and, thank you, Cara for maintaining the bond that ties “The Girls” together. While the pandemic prevented us all from being physically present on your special day, we were all present in spirit because of the bracelet.
I think that I can speak for all of us when I state that each one of “The Girls” have preyed a special prayer for Joshua and Cara as they embark on this new chapter in their lives. We are all looking forward to the next wedding and welcoming another lady into our special circle.
